Cat Quest III, recently nominated for Family Game of the Year at the 28th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards presented by the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences, received a major free update on all platforms today. The game is available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S consoles, and PC via Steam, and the Mew Game mode is now free for all players.

The ‘Mew Game’ introduces various gameplay modifiers to keep Cat Quest III fresh and to test the skills of the most experienced feline adventurers. Players can also earn new gear as a reward for taking on the challenges of the Mew Game mode.

  • Nine Lives: You have only nine attempts, after which your save is permanently erased.
  • Ruffer Enemies: More dangerous and stronger enemies roam the Purribean.
  • Naked Paws: No weapons or armor; only accessories are allowed.
  • Purre Magic: Magic only! But don’t worry, mana regenerates quickly.
  • No Leveling: You stay at the same level throughout the entire game.
  • Fast Furwards: Everything moves twice as fast, including you.
  • No Upgrades: No upgrades, not even for spells.
  • Furriendly Ship: Your ship deals only 1 damage.
