Indie developer HitBreak Games has announced that players will soon be able to experience Code RAPID for themselves, with a public demo launching on June 30. The announcement arrives alongside the launch of the game’s Kickstarter pre-launch page as the studio prepares to fund further development.
Code RAPID is a third-person action game centered around fast-paced mech combat on the distant planet of Ondarea. Players pilot customizable machines known as Knights while exploring abandoned cities, frozen military outposts and industrial ruins in search of answers surrounding the world’s collapse.
Combat focuses on mobility, encouraging you to chain together boosts, aerial movement and precision attacks while adapting to increasingly dangerous encounters. Between missions, you can collect new weapons and mechanical components that directly influence your mech’s handling, combat statistics and overall playstyle, allowing for highly personalized builds.
The released trailer showcases explosive battles, detailed mech customization, extensive paint options and high-speed combat that emphasizes movement as much as firepower. You can wishlist Code RAPID on Steam ahead of the public demo.
