Cozy Open-World Sandbox ANIMALKIND Announces Closed Alpha Playtest for July

Developer Uncommon Games has announced that its cozy open-world sandbox title ANIMALKIND will hold a closed alpha playtest in July. Players who want to take part can now sign up through the game’s Steam page.

ANIMALKIND aims to offer a warm and mysterious world where players meet cute animal characters while also piloting a powerful ancient mech. The game unfolds in a wide open world filled with friendly animals. In fact, you can become one of these characters, choosing from options like a corgi, tuxedo cat, or raccoon. Each animal comes with its own animations and ways to customize their look.

At the heart of the experience is the Ancient Mech, a relic that gives players giant mechanical hands and an upgradeable body. This mech is key for moving around the world, gathering materials, crafting items, and designing a personal home.

ANIMALKIND supports both solo play and cooperative sessions. You can invite up to three friends into your private game, letting you explore together, build towns, play minigames, and gather resources in the wilderness.
