Relaxing RPG Horizonite, Inspired by Stardew Valley, Announced for PC

If you enjoy independent indie game coverage, consider supporting Indie-Games.eu on Patreon. It helps keep the site independent.

When a game combines appealing 2.5D pixel art with vibrant colors, and you add the ability to explore islands, engage in turn-based battles, and manage your own resort, it’s clear that something special is in the works. This is the impression left by Horizonite, a new title from solo developer Phablix. It’s hard to pinpoint exactly what it reminds me of, but I can’t wait to try it when it arrives on PC via Steam.

In Horizonite, you will sail toward various islands, each rich with resources to gather, puzzles to solve, and treasures waiting to be found. Exploration is key, as you never know what challenges or rewards await, and they help in the development of your island. When things get tense, you’ll engage in turn-based battles against interesting creatures. For relaxation, you can dedicate yourself to managing your own resort, customizing and expanding it for visitors.

The colors are bright and the details adorable, similar to Stardew Valley or Moonlighter. Interestingly, the seasons and weather affect the game, changing available resources and battle dynamics, which makes exploration and planning even more exciting. Additionally, you will encounter various characters, each with their own story and quests, all to help you achieve new goals.
