The creators of the acclaimed title Astral Ascent have announced their next ambitious project, a new top-down action-RPG named Fallen Fates. Revealed during The MIX Fall Game Showcase 2025 with a new trailer, the game promises a blend of intense combat, exploration, and immersive storytelling, with a Kickstarter campaign launching on September 18.
Fallen Fates is set in the world of Tellus, a land once shaped by magic that is now on the brink of devastation. Crystals are falling from the sky, tearing through the land and unleashing mysterious creatures. To combat this threat, humans have merged with magical beings to create powerful warriors. The game’s narrative focuses on two such heroes: Arven, a human ranger, and Kat, an Etheri, an immaterial entity now inhabiting a material world.
The two protagonists are merged into one body, united by necessity and possibly by fate. Players will take control of this duo, customizing and upgrading their physical and magical skills to master a fast-paced, intuitive gameplay system. Their journey involves exploring their inner realm to strengthen their bond and evolve into a more powerful version of themselves
Players can also roam vast, open areas at their own pace. The trailer on the other hand showcases dynamic movement, including dashing, running like a wolf, and using a hook to reach inaccessible places.
