First-person action-adventure DAVY x JONES from PARASIGHT, the creators of BLACKTAIL, is set to launch into Steam Early Access on August 28, 2025. The game reimagines the legend of Davy Jones with a unique, darkly humorous twist, blending sword and gun combat with a surreal pirate underworld.
In this swashbuckling adventure, you control the headless body of the infamous pirate captain Jones who has forged an uneasy alliance with his sharp-tongued, tentacle-wielding skull, Davy. Together, they seek revenge on the treacherous Blackbeard.
The game is set in The Locker, a surreal pirate underworld of nine cloud-swept islands that are home to cursed souls and legendary fiends. Players can engage in combat with a sword, gun, and grappling hook, and explore the open world aboard Abby, a half-ship, half-whale vessel.
The Early Access launch will include the game’s core combat and exploration systems, several of The Locker’s cursed islands, and a host of weapons, skills, and cinematic executions. More content, including new islands and story content, will be added throughout its voyage in Early Access, with a full release on PC and consoles planned for late 2026.
