Templar Media has released the first combat gameplay trailer for Gate Zero, showing protagonist Max fighting through the time-corrupted EON World. The semi-open-world action adventure is scheduled for spring 2027 on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

The footage follows Max as he enters the EON World to rescue a recently encountered friend. Within this unstable dimension, past and future collide as people, objects and ideas become trapped or frozen outside their proper time.

Max must battle the Kairos, enemies formed from corrupted time energy, using close-range attacks and other combat abilities. The trailer also offers a glimpse of a larger confrontation as he travels deeper into the realm.

Outside the EON World, Gate Zero transports players from a dystopian future in 2072 to first-century Judea and Galilee. Max must complete missions, evade capture and solve puzzles while searching for a way home and attempting to stop history from being altered.

Players can approach situations through combat, stealth and dialogue. The journey includes recreations of Capernaum, Cana, the Sea of Galilee, the Jordan River and Jerusalem during the Roman occupation.

The story also places Max alongside figures connected to Jesus’ ministry, allowing players to witness biblical events from his perspective. Templar Media says its environments were created using scripture and historical research.

Built with Unreal Engine 5, Gate Zero is being developed and published by Templar Media. Its Steam page is available alongside listings on the PlayStation and Xbox stores.
