Milestone released a new Screamer update on August 31st, 2026, introducing quality-of-life improvements, character balance adjustments and fixes based on player feedback.

First-time players are now taken to the Main Menu instead of being placed directly into The Tournament story mode. The change also applies to the demo, allowing newcomers to practise or explore other modes first. Gameplay tutorials can now be revisited through the pause menu.

The official patch notes include several character buffs. Aisha’s ability recharges every 45 seconds, providing multiple free shields during a race. Frederic generates Sync more quickly through passive and Active Shift methods, while Fermi gains one additional maximum Entropy point. Milestone also fixed an issue that allowed Akane to activate Strike and her Skill-provided Boost simultaneously.

One Aisha adjustment appears contradictory. The notes state that her SGU activation threshold was “reduced” from 268 km/h to 282.5 km/h, despite the new value being higher. Milestone has not clarified whether the wording or one of the figures is incorrect.

Further fixes address steering-wheel force feedback and a Score Challenge exploit that produced unusually high results through the pause button. Console versions also received responsiveness optimisations that do not apply to PC.
