Cloudgazer Turns Watching Clouds Into a Relaxing Hidden-Object Game

If you enjoy independent indie game coverage, consider supporting Indie-Games.eu on Patreon. It helps keep the site independent.

DevilishGames will release Cloudgazer: A Game About Watching Clouds for Steam, iOS and Android on September 3rd, 2026. This relaxing sky-gazing simulator will be priced at $2.99.

Instead of presenting players with enemies, timers or objectives, Cloudgazer asks them to watch moving clouds and identify hundreds of concealed shapes. These include animals, everyday objects and mythical creatures, with the experience built around pareidolia, the tendency to recognise familiar images within otherwise random patterns.

A dynamic cloud simulation is intended to generate a different sky during each session. The scenery also changes through a complete day-and-night cycle featuring sunrises, sunsets and starry evenings. You can attempt to discover every available shape or leave the game running as a virtual skyscape.

A physical activity-book adaptation is already available through Amazon. It contains 58 cloud illustrations with 250 hidden animals, objects, faces and other shapes to discover without a screen.
