The dieselpunk roguelite RTS Grit & Valor: 1949 will be released for PC via Steam on March 26th, while versions for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and the Epic Games Store will arrive this summer. To allow players to try the game before release, a new demo version is now available on PC.
The game is set in an alternate 1949 where World War II is still raging. Grit & Valor: 1949 puts you in command of a resistance squad of Mech pilots fighting against the Axis forces. The Axis has occupied Europe using giant mechanized war machines, crushing most of the Allied forces. As the leader of the Resistance, your mission is to escort and protect the command vehicle as it crosses Europe and enters the heart of New Germany.
The game combines real-time tactics with roguelite elements. Each mission brings new challenges, with procedurally generated battlefields, enemy waves, and rewards. The goal is to outsmart the enemy, protect the command vehicle, and turn the tide of the war. You will lead a squad of customizable Mechs and pilots, each having unique abilities and upgrades. By utilizing the terrain and tactical advantages, you must devise strategies that will allow you to win every mission.
