French development studio Drama Studios has announced that it has raised $2.5 million in a new investment round. The funds will help the team strengthen its core development and bring its game Unrecord closer to a solid demo version.

Last year, Drama Studios released a trailer for Unrecord that quickly captured attention, it became one of the most wishlisted games on Steam. Due to this interest, major game publishers expressed curiosity about the title. However, Drama Studios chose to partner with The Games Fund, a venture capital firm known for its expertise in the gaming industry. The Games Fund is leading the investment round and shares Drama Studios’ vision and values.

“We were stunned when we saw the gameplay. What truly surprised us is that the game looks even better than what’s shown in the video,” said Ilia Eremeev, co-founder and managing partner at The Games Fund.

Once Unrecord reaches a stable demo state, Drama Studios plans to explore publishing opportunities and strategic partnerships.
