Drill Core Leaves Early Access This July

Drill Core, an indie hit from Belgrade-based developer Hungry Couch that quickly won over 40,000 players, is soon leaving Steam Early Access. During the recent tinyBuild Connect, it was revealed that we will be able to fully dive into the intergalactic depths on July 17. A Nintendo Switch version is also expected later this year.

In Drill Core, you become the manager of a mining rig. Your task is to drill to the heart of alien planets and extract valuable minerals. You will recruit miners, carriers, and guards, carefully manage resources, and plan the most efficient drilling routes to keep the operation running smoothly. And while state-of-the-art drills and technology help you break through rocks, each planet hides a unique ecosystem with its own challenges, from hostile creatures to unpredictable terrain.

Since its Early Access debut on September 12, 2024, Drill Core has been shaped with direct community input. In less than a year, it has received new biomes and adjustments for more intense roguelite gameplay. Version 1.0 arrives with more platforms, challenges, and content, and development will continue even after this title is officially released.
