The developers behind Escape Simulator, Pine Studio, are celebrating the game’s fourth anniversary today (October 20th) by highlighting its success: over three million players worldwide and thousands of community-created rooms. The celebration also serves as a final countdown for the highly anticipated sequel Escape Simulator 2, which is scheduled to launch in just one week, on October 27 on PC via Steam.

The sequel is designed to build on the cooperative puzzle-solving foundation of the original. It is designed for both solo players and groups of up to eight in online multiplayer, featuring built-in voice and text chat for seamless collaboration. While retaining the satisfying “aha!” moment of cracking puzzles, the game adopts a slightly darker, more mysterious tone, focusing on gothic castles and cursed treasures without venturing into horror territory.

Escape Simulator 2 will launch with new features and content packs developed with input from professional escape room experts and top community builders. The game will include three themed room packs, totaling 12 rooms. Also, one of the biggest anticipated features is the upgraded Room Editor 2.0.
