Day 4 Night Studios has revealed its new action-adventure title Bradley the Badger, which blends original gameplay mechanics with live-action sequences to deliver a satirical commentary on the video game industry. The game is currently set to release on PC via Steam, with the team exploring options for additional platforms and consoles.

Actor Evan Peters (X-Men, Dahmer) will bring the mascot character Bradley to life, providing both voice acting and live-action performance. Bradley the Badger follows its cheerful hero, a well-known star from many classic platforming games, who suddenly ends up in strange new worlds that feel alien and strangely unfinished. Wanting to return home, Bradley sets out on a journey to save his world and his friends, a quest that leads him to a much bigger truth than he expected.

A major part of the gameplay revolves around the Kit, a special tool that lets Bradley change any unfinished object he finds. This mechanic turns him into a kind of game developer inside the game itself. It affects every part of the experience, shaping how players explore the world, solve puzzles, travel across levels, and fight enemies. With the Kit and his trusty frying pan, Bradley moves through familiar-looking places that are purposely filled with half-made assets and broken pieces waiting to be shaped.

Christian Cantamessa, Co-Founder of Day 4 Night Studios and director of the game, described the project as “part love letter to video games and part satire of them.” He explained that the story is inspired by the team’s own experiences making games.
