FINJI, the award-winning studio and publisher behind games like Night in the Woods and Tunic, has released CorgiSpace, a new collection of small and playful 8-bit games on Steam. The project was created together with FINJI’s Creative Director and Co-Founder Adam Saltsman, known for Canabalt and Overland.

CorgiSpace made its debut during the recent Day of the Devs showcase. It is built using the PICO-8 engine, giving the collection its colorful, retro 8-bit style. The full package is available now for €4.99 on Itch.io and Steam for both PC and Mac.

The collection features more than a dozen small action, adventure, arcade, and puzzle games. Each one can be fully explored in less than an hour, but they are designed to be played again and again thanks to their simple controls and easy-to-learn ideas. The release also includes developer diaries that explain how each game was made, and several titles offer progress saving for players who want to return later.

CorgiSpace features a diverse mix of genres, all unified by the retro aesthetic. Standout games include:

  • Kuiper Cargo: A run-based puzzle game where success depends on choosing the right upgrades as players deliver cargo and advance their guild rank.
  • Cave of Cards: A mini roguelike that challenges players to clear a cave full of killer mushrooms by setting off bombs and crafting new resources from strategic poker hands.
  • Mole Mole: A sokoban puzzle that introduces a disruptive twist, bombs, to the classic block-pushing formula.
  • Dino Sort: A logic puzzle where players must place every dinosaur in the correct spot, requiring attention to their food preferences, whether it’s plants or other dinosaurs.
  • Rat Dreams: A unique top-down souls-like where the only available movement is the dodge roll, creating intense, skill-based challenges.
