First Break Labs is an independent and innovative collective founded by veteran game developers with experience at SEGA, Nintendo, ATLUS, and SmileGate. The group is dedicated to highlighting new video games by providing essential funding and marketing support to indie developers, helping them bring their creative visions to life.
“Our mission at First Break Labs is to empower indie developers,” said Alfonso Cubias, Publishing Director at First Break Labs. “Some of the most innovative and creative ideas in gaming come from independent studios. Our goal is to provide the resources and support they need to bring their visions to life and reach a global audience.”
First Break Labs has experience publishing a wide range of games, from solo-developed indie titles to AAA blockbusters. They offer a full suite of support tailored to each project. The company has announced four upcoming titles scheduled for release between 2024 and 2025: Entropy Survivors, Warside, Baseless, and Particle Hearts. The team selected these titles based on their quality and entertainment value.
Entropy Survivors is a roguelike bullet heaven game featuring powerful mechs and a precision-focused space frog. With unique abilities and customizable weapons, players can enjoy the game solo or in 2–4 player online co-op.
Warside is a fast-paced turn-based tactical game with a story-driven campaign, multiplayer support, and a built-in map editor, offering endless opportunities for strategic battles. Players can choose a commander, gather their forces, and fight for victory.
Baseless is an innovative planet-hopping game that defies gravity. Players navigate a 360° gravitational environment, using shooting as a means of movement to creatively eliminate enemies and save their adoptive family. The game features vibrant visuals and charming companions.
Particle Hearts is a third-person adventure where travelers explore a world made entirely of particles. Players use special abilities to manipulate particles, solve puzzles, and uncover their role in this beautiful yet ominous land.
“We’re thrilled to debut with a collective of incredibly talented developers,” said Marketing Lead Derek Seklecki. “We can’t wait for players to experience these future classics. We’ll be announcing more exciting titles in the coming months, so stay tuned.”
