A mysterious incident from October 27, 1986, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, has resurfaced in the form of a chilling VHS tape. This story serves as the foundation for Backrooms Level X, a first-person survival horror game brought to you by publisher Firenut Games and solo developer José Manuel Conesa Hernández.

Backrooms Level X begins with an unusual accident that traps you in the Backrooms, an enigmatic and unsettling space where reality and logic no longer apply. Endless hallways covered in yellow carpet, flickering lights, and an eerie silence surround you as you desperately search for an exit. But the Backrooms are not empty; unknown entities lurk in the shadows, listening to your every move.

To progress, you must solve puzzles and overcome complex challenges. With more than 13 different levels, each environment offers unique experiences, enemies, and story elements, ensuring that no part of the game is the same. The Backrooms are filled not only with common enemies but also with massive bosses. These encounters require strategy, as the game focuses on survival without relying on traditional weaponry.

To introduce players to the world of Backrooms Level X, a prologue demo will soon be available for PC. The demo will offer a glimpse into the dark story, spooky environments, and tense gameplay that will be featured in the full version of the game. More details about the demo will be shared soon.

Backrooms Level X is planned for release on PC via Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch consoles in 2025.
