As the psychological survival action horror game Silly Polly Beast approaches its launch, developer Andrei Chernyshov has provided a detailed look at the challenging seven-year journey of the game’s protagonist, Polly. The visual timeline addresses community curiosity about Polly’s origins and shows her dramatic shift from a simple 2D sketch to the complex 3D model seen today.
The final stage focused on blending the “cute” with the “menacing.” The current design features a confident blonde girl in a rugged orange jacket, shorts, and thigh-high boots. She retains subtle demonic features, including a tail and small horns, and is equipped with dual pistols.
For those who don’t know, Silly Polly Beast is an otherworldly, story-driven shooter where a girl is thrown into a bizarre world by fate, who must now fight grotesque beasts while unraveling her path to freedom.
The game is set to launch in just eight days, on October 28 for PC via Steam, with console versions for PlayStation and Xbox planned for later date.
