Japanese publisher Arc System Works has announced that Dear me, I was…, an interactive narrative adventure with a deep story and a unique aesthetic, will launch for Nintendo Switch 2 via the Nintendo eShop on July 31, 2025, priced at €6. With its watercolor visual style, Dear me, I was… promises a heartfelt experience celebrating the ordinary life of a woman.

Dear Me, I Was… is a textless game that tells its story through the watercolor art of Taisuke Kanasaki, known for his work on Another Code and Hotel Dusk. Using rotoscoping, drawing over live-action footage, the game gives its characters a realistic, emotional presence meant to deeply move players.

Designed as a short yet powerful adventure, it’s ideal for players seeking an emotional narrative. It lasts around two to three hours depending on exploration pace and offers multiple endings based on player choices. On Nintendo Switch 2, it takes advantage of the touchscreen and improved graphics, offering a smooth experience in both handheld and docked mode.
