Publisher Coffee Stain Publishing and development team Keepsake Games have announced that their cooperative first-person shooter Jump Ship will be available in Early Access for Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam this summer. Sign-ups for the closed beta test are already open, giving players a chance to be among the first to experience this dynamic space adventure.

Daniel Kaplan, CEO of Keepsake Games, emphasized that the team’s goal was to create a game that combines fun with an authentic space exploration experience. With experience gained in renowned studios such as Hazelight, Mojang, and Coffee Stain, the development team is well-versed in the recipe for a successful cooperative game. Kaplan stressed that player feedback is crucial for the further development of Jump Ship, which is why the Early Access phase is an ideal opportunity to collaborate with the community and refine the game before its final release.

Jump Ship offers a four-player cooperative experience, where players take on the roles of a spaceship crew. The game combines sandbox space exploration with intense combat both on planets and in orbit. Players will have the opportunity to manage the ship, explore planets on foot, and search for parts to upgrade and repair their vessel. Every mission is handcrafted with randomized elements, ensuring that no two journeys are the same.

One of the most important aspects of the game is the cooperation among crew members. You will need to take on different roles, from pilot and engineer to explorer, to successfully complete missions. Communication and teamwork will be essential for overcoming challenges such as enemy attacks, extinguishing fires on the ship, or adjusting the power grid while the ship is in motion.
