Following its successful launch on Steam, Lethal Company continues to gain momentum. In addition to being among the top on various charts, this cooperative indie horror game currently holds the title of the best-rated game of 2023 on Steam.
According to data from SteamDB, Lethal Company has collected over 100,000 user reviews since its Early Access launch on October 24, with a current positive rating of 97.32%. Furthermore, if we consider only premium titles with over 100 thousand user reviews, Lethal Company would still be the leader, followed by Resident Evil 4, Baldur’s Gate 3, Hogwarts Legacy, and BattleBit Remastered.

Lethal Company is also the best-rated game of 2023 on the Steam250 list with 99% positive reviews. Moreover, it continues to break its highest number of concurrent players daily. On November 27, it reached a peak of 184,015 players, which is an impressive result for an indie title made by a solo developer.
Two weeks ago, specifically from November 21 to November 28, Lethal Company stood out as the highest-grossing game on Steam, trailing only the Steam Deck. It surpassed popular free-to-play titles like Counter-Strike 2 and Apex Legends, as well as premium games including EA Sports FC 24, Cyberpunk 2077, and Call of Duty.
The game’s success is attributed to its unique combination of horror and cooperative gameplay, as well as its affordable price. Additionally, a large number of well-known content creators and influencers are publishing content for the game daily, it supports modding, and the question remains how long the game will continue to be developed and what kind of content will be added next.
This is an impressive achievement for developer Zeekerss, who previously created UGC games for Roblox. Although the exact sales of this title have not yet been officially announced, Simon Carless of GameDiscoverCo estimates that 642 thousand copies were sold, with an expected gross revenue of $5.7 million in the first three weeks after its Early Access launch.
