SAND: Raiders of Sophie will arrive on PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam this March, with an Xbox Series version planned for a later date. Publisher tinyBuild and developers Hologryph and TowerHaus have assured us there won’t be any delays anymore.
Set on the ruined planet of Sophie, the game blends open-world exploration with intense combat against both human rivals and hostile creatures. The surface is a vast sea of sand, shaped by constant storms and scattered with the remains of a fallen civilization. Survival depends on scavenging valuable resources, surviving encounters with enemies, and escaping the dunes before everything is lost.
Travel across this harsh world is made possible through massive mechanical walkers known as Tramplers. These towering machines act as mobile bases, storage hubs, and moving fortresses all at once. Each Trampler can be built and customized from the ground up, offering protection from the elements while also serving as a powerful weapon platform.
Combat takes place from a first-person view and shifts smoothly between on-foot fights and large-scale battles involving the Tramplers themselves. Firearms, mounted weapons, and defensive upgrades all play a role as rival raiders clash across the dunes. Beyond combat, exploration is key where abandoned cities, broken monuments, and wrecked machines hide rare gear and resources, but every location carries risk.
