After our first day at Poznań Game Arena, we were ready for even more adventures awaiting us on Saturday. And we had a truly productive day ahead of us, full of world premieres and big announcements. Moving from one event to another, we still found time to meet the creators and test their works, which you can read about below.

A time of grand announcements

We started the day with a meeting with representatives of One More Level: Radosław Ratusznik and Łukasz Wabik, who talked about their studio’s latest project: Valor Mortis. This ambitious project attempts to breathe new life into the popular soulslike genre by combining its mechanics with a first-person perspective – all set in the Napoleonic era. You can read what the creators themselves have to say about this project in our exclusive interview.

The next item on the agenda was a presentation prepared by SCS Software. The creators behind the legendary titles Euro Truck Simulator 2 and American Truck Simulator presented news about several of the studio’s projects, including behind-the-scenes information. Finally, two surprises awaited the participants – a DLC for Euro Truck Simulator 2 entitled “Isle of Ireland” was announced, as well as an expansion for American Truck Simulator – “British Columbia”.

The great RPG celebration

The event that took place afterwards attracted crowds of RPG fans to the main stage. The reason for this was a meeting with representatives of Rebel Wolves studio, who publicly presented a demo of The Blood of Dawnwalker with Polish dubbing for the first time. It was a great opportunity for us not only to take a look at the game before its release, but also to take photos with cosplayers portraying Bakir, Xanthe, and Ambrus, characters from this dark fantasy game.

The RPG vibe stayed with us, because right after Rebel Wolves, Warhorse Studios took the floor. Tobias Stolz-Zwilling presented us with several excerpts from the new DLC for Kingdom Come: Deliverance II – Mysteria Ecclesiae. This expansion, where history meets mystery, made a huge impression on us and piqued our curiosity even before its official release.

In space and at war

After listening to all the presentations, it was time to move on to the practical part. I got to try Tiny Space Pirate, a cozy top-down space adventure where you explore a handcrafted galaxy, upgrade your ship, and help quirky space locals. Although I liked the game, the next production really blew me away – it was the aforementioned Valor Mortis. Even though I had to wait two hours for my turn, the section available to play convinced me that it’s worth following the development of this production.

And just like that, we found ourselves halfway through our stay at PGA. The second day of the festival provided us with world-class excitement and impressions that will stay with us as the presented productions develop. So, we did everything we could to make the last day of our PGA adventure the perfect culmination of our experiences, which, as you can see, was not such a difficult task.
