Outbound Free Fishing Update Is Available Now on All Platforms

Square Glade Games and Silver Lining Interactive have released the first major content update for Outbound, bringing a brand-new fishing system and additional customization features to the cozy exploration game. The free update is available now on Steam, the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.

The new Fishing Update introduces a complete fishing ecosystem, allowing players to craft multiple tiers of fishing rods and catch dozens of fish species spread across the game’s various biomes. Alongside the new activity, the update also expands camper-van customization with additional building options, giving players more ways to personalize their mobile home.

The update arrives shortly after Outbound reached a major milestone following its multi-platform launch in May. According to the developers, the relaxing adventure has already attracted more than 250,000 players within its first few weeks, fueled by its blend of exploration, vehicle automation, base building and laid-back gameplay.

Designed around sustainable living and open-ended exploration, Outbound encourages you to travel at your own pace while gradually upgrading both your vehicle and the surrounding environment.
