Today, Ironwood Studios pleasantly surprised us with their announcement. Their debut survival adventure Pacific Drive, in which you travel the world with your car, has sold one million copies one year after its official launch. This studio, founded in 2019, has only 20 members, and they released this title on February 22, 2024. The game is available on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, and on PlayStation 5.

What captivated players is the intense and fun gameplay, atmospheric soundtrack, unique survival mechanics, and regular content updates. The fourth major update is coming soon, with more details to be shared later. If you don’t happen to have this title in your collection yet, you have the chance to take advantage of a major 40% discount that lasts until tomorrow, meaning you can buy the game for just 17.99€.

The game was included on the longlist for four BAFTA awards, including categories for Debut Game, Game Design, Narrative, and New IP. It also secured a nomination for Best Debut at the Game Developers Choice Awards and recognition for Excellence in Design at the IGF Awards. Pacific Drive also won the Best Gameplay award at the BIG Festival Awards at Gamescom LATAM and the Best Music award at The Indie Game Awards 2024.

The success of Pacific Drive has even attracted Hollywood’s attention. The rights to produce a TV series based on the game have been acquired by James Wan, the esteemed director of films like Saw, Fast and Furious 7, and The Conjuring.
