Argentine developer Whiteboard Games has announced Tempus Vitae, a first-person shooter that combines time travel mechanics with Metroidvania-style exploration. Announced during the Summer Game Fest 2026 Latin American Games Showcase, the game is scheduled to launch in 2027 for PC via Steam, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Players assume the role of astronaut Alex, who becomes stranded aboard the massive space station Theia while searching for his missing brother. Exploration takes place across two interconnected timelines, shifting between a war-torn future in 2185 and the devastated remains of the station in 2385, where every action taken in one era influences the other.

Gameplay emphasizes fast-paced shooting alongside time manipulation abilities that allow players to freeze bullets, accelerate movement, reshape environments and unlock previously inaccessible areas. As in traditional Metroidvanias, new weapons and temporal powers gradually expand exploration while opening alternative routes through the station.

Whiteboard Games describes Tempus Vitae as an ambitious evolution of concepts the studio explored years ago before developing I See Red. The newly released announcement trailer showcases its blend of sci-fi action, environmental puzzles and time-bending mechanics, while the Steam wishlist page is now available for players interested in following development.
