Solo developer David Elliot of RKO Software is preparing to release Tiny Towers, an upcoming indie title that blends classic tower defense gameplay with incremental and idle mechanics. Scheduled to launch on Steam in 2026, the game combines pixel-art visuals, strategic progression and satisfying “numbers go up” gameplay into a compact fantasy adventure.

You are tasked with defending a goblin fortress from waves of increasingly dangerous enemies by constructing defensive towers and collecting gold dropped by defeated foes. Resources earned during battles can be invested into an extensive skill tree that unlocks permanent upgrades, new abilities and stronger defenses as you push through progressively harder biomes.

While tower placement remains at the heart of the experience, Tiny Towers also incorporates clicker-style progression systems that reward long-term investment. You will encounter boss battles, including the King of the Slimes, while gradually unlocking permanent improvements that make future runs more efficient and powerful.

A playable demo is already available on itch.io, offering roughly 30 minutes of gameplay and an early look at the game’s progression systems. Community feedback has been largely positive, with players praising its addictive gameplay loop and charming presentation ahead of its planned Steam release in 2026.
