After a highly successful Early Access launch, developer Pocketpair has announced that its open-world survival crafting game Palworld will officially launch version 1.0 in 2026. The full release will be available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store. This new timeline reflects the studio’s decision to prioritize cleaning up and polishing the game before its final launch.

In a video message, Pocketpair communications director and publishing manager Bucky explained the rationale behind the 2026 release: “Beyond just adding new content, there’s a lot of cleanup that needs to be done before Palworld can exit Early Access. It’s no secret that Palworld has a lot of quirks and jank, and we want to take the time to properly address those.”

Bucky also addressed what this means for the rest of 2025. He acknowledged that the team’s development updates will be “a little quiet” for the remainder of the year and that the upcoming winter update will not be as large as the one in February. However, he promised that a few surprises are still planned. He reassured fans that development is not slowing down, but rather refocusing on a strong foundation for the future.

Also, a limited-time 25% off sale for Palworld is underway on Steam until September 23, giving new players a chance to jump in and experience the game’s Early Access journey.
