Siscia Games has released the first major Steam Early Access milestone update for Pompeii: The Legacy, its historical city-building game about restoring the famous Roman city. This update is the biggest step forward since the game entered Early Access and adds a large amount of new content, along with balance changes and technical improvements shaped by player feedback.

One of the main highlights of the update is the addition of several new buildings that expand how players can develop their city. On the production side, you can now build an Armorer and a Heavy Weapons Yard, adding new options to military and industrial planning. The city’s cultural and spiritual life also grows with the arrival of the Temples of Jupiter and Mars, which play an important role in managing religion and public order.

The update also improves the core systems that keep the city alive. Production, resource use, and trade have all been reworked to create a smoother and more stable experience, especially in the middle and later stages of the game where managing a growing city becomes more complex.

Alongside these changes, Siscia Games has focused on improving how the city feels and runs. Citizens now move more naturally through the streets, make better use of roads, and react more clearly to the city around them. New research options give players more ways to shape development, while interface updates, bug fixes, and performance improvements help cities run more smoothly as they expand.

Some story content planned for this update has been delayed and is now expected to arrive around the New Year. After that, the team plans to focus on further performance improvements and visual upgrades. Looking ahead, the roadmap also includes optional combat systems, giving players the choice to engage in warfare or focus fully on building, politics, and the long-term legacy of their city.
