Award-winning developer Stormind Games has officially shared new details about Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy, the upcoming third entry in the long-running survival horror series. Alongside the announcement, the studio also released a brand-new story trailer, giving players a closer look at the game’s atmosphere and mysterious setting inspired by classic Italian Giallo horror films.

This time around, players will explore a dark and twisted convent where reality constantly feels unstable. According to the developers, the game focuses heavily on psychological horror, hidden secrets, and surviving terrifying Stalkers that relentlessly hunt you down. While the previous Remothered games leaned into slow-burning tension, Red Nun’s Legacy appears to be expanding that formula with more cinematic storytelling and new gameplay mechanics.

One of the more interesting additions is the hypnosis system, which allows you to uncover forgotten memories, reveal hidden paths, and reinterpret the environment around them. Combined with puzzle-solving and stealth survival mechanics, the game seems to be aiming for that old-school survival horror feeling while still introducing fresh ideas to the formula.

The game’s cast is also packed with recognizable horror talent. Cissy Jones, known for roles in Life Is Strange and The Walking Dead, will voice Susan, while Maggie Robertson, best known as Lady Dimitrescu from Resident Evil Village, takes on the role of the Red Nun herself. On top of that, legendary composer Akira Yamaoka, famous for his work on Silent Hill, is composing the soundtrack.

Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy is scheduled to launch later this year for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Series S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG.com.
