French indie studio Exkee has just released the first gameplay trailer for Rescue Ops: Wildfire, an impressive firefighting simulator that lets you battle dynamic and unpredictable megafires. First announced in May this year, its Early Access version will soon be available on Steam and Xbox.
The game offers two modes: Campaign and Sandbox. The campaign drops you into a season of diverse wildfire scenarios across vast locations inspired by real-world environments. In the sandbox mode, you can test your skills against larger, unscripted wildfires. Exkee has big plans for the Rescue Ops franchise, Wildfire is only the beginning, with the studio planning to expand into urban firefighting and other emergency response operations.
Wildfire supports both solo play and four-player co-op, allowing you to team up in tackling fire outbreaks. You’ll need to make quick decisions, manage water supply, set up hoses, and use firefighting vehicles to save lives and property. The video also showcases impressive Unreal Engine 5 visuals, with realistic fire, smoke, and environmental effects that enhance the sense of urgency and tension.
