Shape of Dreams, the action roguelite from developer Lizard Smoothie and publisher NEOWIZ, has officially passed one million total units sold worldwide. Reaching this milestone just four months after its September 11 launch on Steam, the game has quickly become one of NEOWIZ’s strongest global titles to date.

Within the first two weeks, Shape of Dreams moved more than 500,000 copies, setting the tone for its fast rise. Much of this success comes from its fresh combat design, often described as “MOBA-lite.” The system allows up to four characters to fight together in real time, mixing team-based skills with the high-risk, repeat-run structure of a roguelite.

Critical response has matched the strong sales numbers. Shape of Dreams currently holds an 84 score on Metacritic and an 86 on OpenCritic, along with a “Very Positive” rating on Steam. Ongoing support has also played a big role in keeping interest high. In December, version 1.1 launched with official Steam Workshop support, opening the door for custom mods made by the community. This update also added the Limbo Hardcore Challenge Mode and a secret boss fight, offering new challenges for those who had already explored the game’s more than 150 item combinations.

According to NEOWIZ, open communication has been key to this success. From early demo stages onward, feedback has been actively collected and used to shape updates, balance changes, and new content. Looking ahead through 2026, Lizard Smoothie and NEOWIZ plan to continue growing the brand with larger updates and possible seasonal events.
