Indie developer tobspr announced a massive “Dimension” update for the popular factory builder Shapez 2, which arrives on June 2nd on Steam. After selling over 450,000 copies in Early Access, making it one of the best-selling production simulators on Steam, the game is now receiving revolutionary platforms that expand the possibilities for building polygonal production lines.
The main novelty is the introduction of multi-layered 3D platforms, which allows for the creation of even more complex factories. The train system has also been completely redesigned, now offering more efficient transportation of shapes and liquids, along with fully upgraded visual effects. The update brings numerous “quality of life” improvements, including new platform layouts, increased conveyor belt speed, an updated user interface, and other optimizations.
To mark this announcement, Shapez 2 is currently available with a 30% discount on Steam. The base version of the game costs €17.49, while the Supporter Edition (which includes extra cosmetic content and an extended soundtrack version) is available for €23.44. For players who already own the game, the Supporter Upgrade DLC is also available for €6.64.
Additionally, a new trailer was presented just last night during the Triple-i Initiative Showcase.
