Independent publisher Silver Lining Interactive made some big announcements at The MIX Fall Game Showcase yesterday. They revealed five new trailers and showcased a diverse lineup of upcoming games. The company also revealed the Silver Bullet Programme, a new initiative to support and help indie developers.
In collaboration with Steel Mantis, the publisher revealed the first gameplay trailer for Slain 2: The Beast Within. This blood-soaked sequel to the cult hit Slain: Back From Hell is a gothic action-platformer set to launch on PC in 2026. Players will wield the legendary sword Bathoryn to carve a path through a corrupt kingdom, engaging in ferocious combat and using werewolf transformations.
Silver Lining Interactive and Square Glade Games released the first developer diary for Outbound, a “cozyvival” campervan adventure. Titled “Journey’s Beginning”, the diary shows how players can forage, craft, and customize their dream mobile home. The game emphasizes creativity and off-grid exploration, letting players embark on a solo journey or a co-op road trip through a vibrant near-future world.
The new weapons trailer for Captain Wayne – Vacation Desperation highlights this chaotic, retro-inspired FPS from Ciaran Games LLC. The game, releasing on PC later this year, features the cigar-chomping protagonist Captain Wayne. He uses an arsenal of outrageous weapons to fight a mercenary gang across eight enemy-packed areas. The game’s hand-drawn art style, fully voiced cinematics, and over-the-top action promise a blend of gory cartoon violence and relentless mayhem.
Finally, Service With A Shotgun offers a chaotic mix of visual novel and FPS gameplay. Players are tasked with running a roadside shop in the middle of a zombie apocalypse, managing quirky customers one moment and fending off undead intruders the next. The game will feature five story-driven chapters, letting players build defenses and make split-second decisions while navigating a darkly humorous survival adventure.
The game throws players into a strange Victorian-inspired wilderness where alchemy, exploration, and physics all collide.
