Spiral Up Games Will Publish the Sci-Fi Survival Adventure The Signal: Stranded on Sirenis, Playtest Now Open on Steam

Spiral Up Games and Canadian developer Goose Byte are bringing The Signal: Stranded on Sirenis, a sci-fi survival crafting game, to PC via Steam Early Access in 2026. Previously known simply as The Signal, the first game from Goose Byte now has a public pre-alpha playtest available on Steam, giving players a one-hour glimpse into its world.

You play as a lone survivor on a mysterious planet with its own agenda. Your goal is to find your missing loved one, a journey that takes you through varied environments. To survive, you’ll need to gather resources, craft tools, and upgrade your gear. The planet hides secrets within ancient relics, but uncovering them brings unexpected consequences, forcing you to constantly adapt to a world that changes around you.

The pre-alpha playtest features a building system, vehicle customization, a research tree, and new combat options, all paired with a revamped UI and visuals. Through the game’s exploration system, you’ll study the planet and its inhabitants to discover new crafting recipes, tools, weapons, and equipment, steadily expanding your abilities as you play. Adaptable vehicles are key for traversing the planet’s diverse terrain, you can design vehicles tailored to each environment.
