The second annual “4 is a Party” co-op celebration has gone live on Steam, bringing a full week focused on multiplayer gaming. Running from December 8 to 15, the event offers discounts of up to 90% on more than 100 multiplayer games from major publishers such as Devolver Digital, Raw Fury, Team17, Assemble Entertainment, Nacon, and others.

The event is presented on its own Steam page and was created to fill a missing space in the platform’s event calendar. Tim Lehmann, Sales Manager at Daedalic Entertainment, said that “while Steam has many third-party events, none focused purely on party-style co-op games. Because the genre is something the team enjoys and considers a strength, they decided to make the event themselves.” He noted that the growing interest from publishers this year shows that they are “onto something.”

The event is not only about sales because it also acts as a stage for major updates to popular sci-fi co-op games. Hidden Deep, a 2D sci-fi thriller published by Daedalic Entertainment, received a new update that expands multiplayer to support up to eight players. More additions are arriving through the week, including two extra co-op levels and two new enemy types.

Barotrauma is also seeing a patch with its Winter Update 2025. This update adds the new Wallaby submarine, a fresh pipe-and-valve system, and several key fixes. Daedalic also shared the first teaser for the upcoming Home and Harbor DLC, featuring experimental Descendant technology such as the Singularity Reactor, the Swarm Torpedo Launcher, and the Thales Arc Cannon. The update serves as a major moment for the game before the developers break for the holidays.
