Indie studio From Chaos, made up of former developers from CD Projekt Red, Paradox Interactive, and 11 bit studios, has announced its debut title Liegecraft. This medieval strategy RPG will be available in Steam Early Access in 2025.
In Liegecraft, players become a medieval monarch, leading vassals in building a prosperous kingdom. The game combines turn-based strategy with character-driven RPG elements, offering a fresh twist on the 4X genre. You must manage the unique personalities and relationships of your vassals as you expand your realm and maintain control. The game features a mix of diplomacy, warfare, and real-time events such as feasts and duels.
From Chaos is led by Tomek Dietrich, who explained that the team wanted to create a game where player decisions have real emotional impact. He hopes to bring together fans of games like Civilization and Crusader Kings 3 for a unique, community-driven experience.
