Indie roguelites continue to experiment with new ideas, but few lean as heavily into chance and probability as Sol Cesto. The tactical dungeon-crawler, which blends strategy with unpredictable outcomes, is officially preparing to leave Steam Early Access and launch its full version on April 10, 2026.

Set in a grim dark-fantasy world, the game places players in the role of a hero descending into a mysterious underground labyrinth in search of the long-lost sun. Each run sends you through a constantly shifting dungeon filled with dangerous encounters, hidden rewards, traps, and strange secrets. Rather than relying purely on combat or skill, success in Sol Cesto often depends on how well you manage risk and probability.

The core gameplay revolves around navigating a grid-like map of interconnected rooms. Every decision about where to go carries consequences, as the outcomes of encounters are influenced by chance-based systems. However, players are not completely at the mercy of luck. By collecting upgrades, equipping magical items, and even pulling cursed teeth to alter probability outcomes, you can gradually bend the odds in your favor.

The game originally entered Early Access on Steam in May 2025 and quickly caught the attention of roguelike fans thanks to its unusual mechanics and bizarre visual style. The upcoming version 1.0 will mark the official end of Early Access. According to the developers, the full release will include additional content, improved balance, and extensive polish shaped by player feedback gathered over the past year.
