Studio Sukeban has released the first trailer for .45 PARABELLUM BLOODHOUND, a new “cyberpunk action” game coming to PC via Steam.
This title introduces a new world and cast of characters from the award-winning studio behind Cyberpunk Bartender Action: VA-11 Hall-A. Players will follow Reila Mikazuchi, a skilled assassin emerging from depression and trying to rebuild her life through her deadly abilities. Reila’s journey is filled with familiar dangers, but her greatest enemy may not be the one staring down the barrel of her gun.
The game features an “Active Time Action” combat system where players must dodge attacks, stop time, and chain skills to survive. This system emphasizes positioning and skill-chaining, promising a fresh twist on combat.
The title may remind you of games such as XCOM, Final Fantasy Tactics, Phantom Doctrine, and the Shadowrun series. All of these feature tactical grid-based gameplay, where you control characters in strategic combat scenarios. Its futuristic suits and weapons also resemble elements from Shadowrun. Overall, the atmosphere and strategic design echo Phantom Doctrine and XCOM, where positioning and planning are crucial.
