Time-Looping Roguelike Erosion Revealed Wild West Action Gameplay

Publisher Lyrical Games and developer Plot Twist have released an extensive four-minute gameplay walkthrough video for their newly announced title Erosion, an ambitious open-world roguelike action game set in a post-apocalyptic Wild West. The footage showcases the game’s unique core mechanic: a time loop where every death advances the timeline by a decade.

Erosion is described as a fusion of chaotic action and meaningful narrative. Players are put into a desperate race against time to save their daughter from a ruthless warlord. Failure means starting over, but at the devastating cost of a decade lost in the timeline.

The game is set in a living, faction-divided world where players must build their arsenal and strategically utilize the time loop for progression. The official overview highlights a truly action packed experience: players might join a chicken cult, steal a slick ride to earn “Cheddar,” and then gamble it away in the Al Cashino.

Erosion is scheduled to launch in Early Access for Xbox Series X/S and PC via Steam and the Microsoft Store in spring 2026. The game is then planned for a full release across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC later in 2026.
