TownsFolk, the upcoming survival strategy title from Short Circuit Studio and Snapbreak Games, is set to launch on April 20, 2026 on PC via Steam. This indie project places players in charge of rebuilding a civilization on a harsh and uncharted frontier, combining resource management with strategic decision-making.
Set in a world recovering from ruin, TownsFolk tasks you with guiding a group of survivors as they establish and expand a settlement under constant pressure. Managing limited resources, responding to unpredictable events, and maintaining obligations to a distant kingdom are central to survival. Every decision carries weight, shaping not only the settlement’s growth but also its long-term stability in an unforgiving environment.
The game introduces a variety of gameplay modes designed to improve replayability and strategic variety. A roguelite campaign ensures that each playthrough presents new challenges and opportunities, while standalone skirmish scenarios allow players to test their skills in focused situations. Additional puzzle-based challenges add another layer of complexity, encouraging you to think critically and adapt your strategies to evolving conditions.
