The third entry in the arcade war-gaming series Tiny Metal 2 has been announced by developer AREA 35. This upcoming turn-based strategy simulation draws heavy inspiration from classics like Advance Wars: Dual Strike. It focuses on grid-based tactical battles across land, sea, and air. Tiny Metal 2 is slated for release in 2026 exclusively on PC via Steam.

At its core, Tiny Metal 2 emphasizes strategic depth through unit production, resource capture, and precise attack timing. Players command diverse forces, including tanks, battleships, carriers, and air units. Combat has evolved significantly with the addition of directional facing, which makes a unit’s effectiveness depend on the attack angle. There’s also a new focus fire mechanic that rewards careful action ordering with amplified damage.

You can select from over 15 commanders (10 are new to the series), and each one boasts unique Ultra Powers that offer game-changing capabilities. A significant new feature lets you control two entire factions at once. This is designed to encourage powerful combined assaults, such as coordinating naval and land forces.

The game is built for both cooperative and competitive play. Online options support up to eight players in formats like 1v1, 2v2, and 4v2, alongside couch co-op. Competitive players also benefit from a dedicated Elo ranking system and custom lobbies that allow for resource sharing.
