The VELASTER development team has apologized to its community after announcing an unexpected delay to the game’s Early Access release. The team explained that the Steam review process is taking longer than they expected and admitted they were not fully prepared for the release procedures and scheduling. They are now working to solve the issue as quickly as possible.

In their message, the developers said: “We sincerely apologize for delivering such an unexpected change in schedule,” confirming that the newest Early Access build is currently stuck in Steam’s review queue. They acknowledged the frustration this causes for fans who have been waiting and promised to share a new release date as soon as it is confirmed. The team also said they hope to “repay your patience with a better game.”

VELASTER is a dark fantasy side-scrolling game set in the realm of Malum, a place also known as Middle-earth. The world was created by angels and demons who, unable to create life on their own, shaped a shared space from lands already inhabited by humans. Malum became a place where angels, demons, and humans lived together, but this uneasy peace eventually collapsed. Small conflicts grew into a violent and devastating war, setting the stage for the game’s story.
