ORIGINAL STORY

Leading UK game publisher Kwalee and Fallen Tree Games have revealed the release date for their long-awaited title The Precinct. This neon-noir sandbox police action game will be available on August 15, 2024, for PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.

In The Precinct, you take on the role of police officer Nick Cordell Jr. in 1980s America. The game challenges you to navigate a city plagued by warring gangs, urban decay, and police corruption as you work to restore order. Patrol the city and respond to various procedurally generated crimes, from minor offenses like traffic violations to major incidents such as bank robberies, all in the name of protecting civilians.

The Precinct is a love letter to classic cop movies, blending detailed police simulation with action-packed sandbox gameplay. You can chase suspects across the city in high-risk pursuits involving cars and helicopters, pursue criminals through narrow alleys, and bring them to justice. The game also features strong support from Averno’s police force, allowing you to call for reinforcements such as patrol cars, roadblocks, and spike strips.
