China is bringing us another anime gacha RPG titled Ananta, set in an urban environment with the freedom to explore the open world of Nova City. Previously known as Project Mugen, the game was first revealed during last year’s Gamescom. NetEase Games and Naked Rain aim to deliver a fresher experience compared to similar gacha titles like Zenless Zone Zero or Genshin Impact.

During the PC Gaming Show: Most Wanted, a new trailer and the first gameplay footage were showcased. Players will take on the role of elite agents within the A.C.D. (Anti-Chaos Directorate). Your mission is to fight various paranormal phenomena and enemies, with humorous and mysterious elements woven in, all in an effort to save humanity. This means you can expect a variety of characters, challenges, and puzzles.

A special feature of the game is the ability to drive cars and control a team of four characters, each with a unique playstyle and personality, whom you’ll get to know through different storylines. From the trailer, we can see that players will be able to shoot pistols, swing around the city like Spider-Man, blow up cars with rockets, and much more. Naturally, there will also be special missions and weekly challenges to complete.

Although no release date has been confirmed, you can already pre-register on the game’s official website.
