We all know it may take SCS Software a while to create a truck simulator set in regions beyond America and Europe, but why wait? Truck World Studio, coincidentally, has partnered with HyperTrain Digital to develop a groundbreaking truck simulator game called Truck World: Australia, which brings to life the vast landscapes and unique challenges of Australia. The game is set to release in early 2025 for PC via Steam.
One big feature is that you can get out of your truck. You have to do tasks like hooking up trailers and refueling by hand, which makes the game more realistic. The truck’s cabin is interactive, so you can control things like starting the engine and turning on the radio just like you would in real life.
The changing weather and day-night cycle make each trip different. Rain, fog, and sunsets add to the game’s feel and realism. Whether you’re driving in the hot sun or during a storm, the game is full of adventure. You have to carefully load and distribute your cargo because the way you place it affects how the truck handles. Plus, in true Australian style, you can connect multiple trailers to make road trains, which adds more challenge and skill.
The game takes place in an Australia-like setting with lots of different areas to explore, from dirt roads to busy highways. You’ll see realistic traffic, interact with police, and come across random events like accidents, making the world feel real. You can also improve your character, earn licenses for carrying different types of cargo, and upgrade your trucks. If you like playing with others, there is an online co-op mode for up to four players.
