Fans of cozy games and Metroidvania-inspired adventures have something to look forward to. Magical Delicacy, a charming game that blends cooking, exploration, and a touch of magic, is coming to PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 in 2025. Developed by Skaule and published by Whitethorn Games, Magical Delicacy was first released for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam in July 2024, with the Nintendo Switch version launching in August 2024.
Magical Delicacy is a relaxing adventure set in the enchanting town of Grat. You play as Flora, a young witch who dreams of becoming a full-fledged sorceress. To achieve her goal, she moves to Grat, a bustling port town full of adventurers, locals, and mysterious travelers. There, she opens her own shop, preparing magical dishes and potions for the city’s diverse inhabitants.
The game blends cooking, exploration, and light Metroidvania elements, providing a unique and heartfelt experience. You will gather recipes and ingredients by trading, foraging in the wild, or cultivating your own garden. The cooking system is flexible and creative, allowing you to experiment and create dishes that fulfill even the most unusual orders. Furthermore, the game features a linearly guided story full of magical mysteries and intrigue, as well as optional encounters and free-play opportunities.
