Team17 and Grassrootz Studio have announced that the FPS project previously known as Project Wraith has been renamed – Wraith Ops. This tactical multiplayer shooter promises a new kind of team combat and precise shooting, with a strong emphasis on simplicity and dynamic action. The exact release date is not yet known, but the game can be found on Steam.

One of the most striking features of Wraith Ops is the impressive arsenal of over 60 weapons of different types and sizes. Each weapon can be customized with various attachments such as scopes, gadgets, camouflages, and perks, which affect the weapon’s performance and handling. The development team plans to add even deeper customization mechanics in future updates, further expanding personalization options.

The plot of Wraith Ops revolves around two opposing factions – Aegis Industries and the Volga Battalion, private military companies competing to research and collect the remnants of a Cold War research project codenamed “Project Wraith.” This story sets the stage for intense battles and strategic competition, where each faction has its own motives and goals.

So far, Grassrootz Studio has revealed four game modes, including Team Deathmatch, Overlord (12v12), Trio Arena, and Gun Game. Additionally, when creating your loadout, you will be able to assemble the perfect operator preset from the following options: primary and secondary weapons, throwables, stimulants and a supply box, as well as night vision and a tablet, among other items.
