Astragon Entertainment announced that their highly anticipated maritime simulation game, Seafarer: The Ship Sim, will launch in Early Access on October 7, 2025. The game, which was originally planned for a summer release, was delayed to ensure a more polished experience for players. It will be available for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

Seafarer: The Ship Sim invites you to embark on a maritime career in a vast open world inspired by North European seascapes. Powered by Unreal Engine 5 and NVIDIA WaveWorks 2.0, it offers beautiful visuals and realistic wave simulations. Players can take command of a variety of ships, from tugboats to cargo freighters, each crafted for authenticity. The game emphasizes interactive gameplay, allowing you to walk freely on your vessels, perform maintenance tasks, operate cranes, and even deploy water cannons to fight fires.

Early Access version will offer two main modes: a Story Mode with an engaging narrative and a Quick Play Mode for free exploration. You can choose from different factions, each with unique missions such as cargo transport, coastguard operations, and firefighting. The game’s dynamic weather system and day/night cycle also ensure that no two voyages are the same.

Full version is planned for 2026 and is set to expand the game world, introduce new ships, and add more missions based on player feedback.
