Day two of Gamescom brought us meetings with numerous publishers and developers, so there was no end to the interviews. On the other hand, the lines for games like Hollow Knight: Silksong, Silent Hill f, and Resident Evil Requiem were massive, but we still managed to try out the new DLCs for Age of Mythology and Age of Empires at the many Xbox booths.
Interest in Outer Worlds 2 was also high, but honestly, judging by the gameplay shown on the screens and what we heard, you shouldn’t have high expectations. Of course, we didn’t just wander around aimlessly. We met with former Bloober Team developers, and they showed us the game I Hate This Place, which is published by Bloober Team. We’ll bring you more on that soon.
We also tried a few impressive and promising games, including SpaceCraft and Mars Protocol, and we had the opportunity to play Crimson Desert in a private media area. A large number of gacha games are still present at Gamescom, and we had the chance to visit the Neverness to Everness booth, also known as the GTA anime clone. The PR team walked us through the game, and we also tried out the interesting city-builder RAEV. We’ll have more details on these games soon.
This year, Nintendo took up a surprisingly large space, almost an entire hall. We won’t lie, the new Pokemon Legends: Z-A looks really good. Although the graphics may not be perfect, fans will find a lot of new and interesting elements here. Of course, we also played the new Kirby Air Raiders because we arrived quite early, and what we saw completely lives up to expectations.
Besides Nintendo, Team17 and astragon also attracted a lot of attention. Among other things, they even exhibited a fire truck to present the new simulation Firefighting Simulator: Ignite. Right next to them was a huge tractor from Farming Simulator 2025 that you could also play. We also had the chance to see Little Nightmares III, and Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree didn’t disappoint either. We might have even managed to try the new Resident Evil, and Project Spectrum was also on our list. We managed to catch the developers for a brief chat.
We’ll be at Gamescom again tomorrow, and on Saturday, we’re heading home. But we can already tell you that on Friday, we’re looking forward to 007: First Light, LEGO Voyagers, and the new LEGO Batman.
